Wishy Washy Day

This week Room 4 have been reading the Big Book Wishy Washy Day. 

Today we painted the Characters from the story. 

Come into class to see the finished products. 

Get set go !!!

On Thursdays we go to GET SET GO with Room 3. We are learning to balance. You need to look at something that is still, don't wobbly your head and use aeroplane arms. 

We played tiggy,  mountains and valleys and Green light Red light. It was lots of fun. 

Body Parts

This week Room 4 have been learning how to draw themselves correctly. This shows their how aware they are of their body and also where their mid point is. It is also a reflection on their motor skills, as the more aware they are of their body the more they can manipulate and move it.  

Please encourage your child to be independent when dressing and doing manipulative tasks to do with their body. Also hop, skip, jump and gallop and move with them to get them aware of their center of gravity and left and right side of their bodies. 

We have been learning about ourselves, how to draw our body correctly and make it look like a real person. We have to include all our body parts.

Alex - Motor Skills

Today I was colouring in. There has to be no white bits and we have to stay inside the lines. Because we have to become experts. We were practicing colouring in and cutting neatly and along the line.

Kaleb - Stacking sticks

I am stacking sticks. You use sticks and pinchers (thumb and fore finger)  and put them on top of each other. You have to keep it big.

Anthony - Eggs and Tweezers

I am doing eggs and tweezers. You have to put them in the cup. We are learning eggs and tweezer and your hands ( fingers) have to do it right. You use your pinch fingers ( thumb and fore finger).

Room 4 have been learning about....

We are learning how to use the tree and branch to base our writing on.

We are learning how to share news with our friends. 
We are learning to look at the person talking and to talk in using sentences. 
On Friday and Monday you may like to bring things from home to talk about. 

We have also been learning how to take photos on the iPad and how to care for them correctly.
